Workshop Outcomes

This workshop is designed for a target audience of shop floor personnel, team leaders artisans/ operations personnel / stores personnel implementing business process improvement practices. It will provide a sufficiently detailed framework around which the participant can usefully put into practice the aims and objectives of focused problem solving. The workshop involves practical activity relating to the workplace.

Outcomes

On completion of the workshop participants will be able to:

• Understand the business key success factors of World Class Operation
• Understand what is meant by ‘value’ and ‘waste’
• Understand the need to eliminate waste as scrap and rework issues
• Use the 7 Step Problem Solving approach (Plan, Do Change, Act cycle).
• Use 5 Whys, and other problem analysis tools
• Link an equipment or process problem to that affecting product throughput and quality
